Description

Atlas owner, Mark, will categorically tell you that Isle of Harris gin is his favourite!

Not only is this an outstanding gin, but he, and Elaine, love visiting Harris, in the Outer Hebrides, and this gin truly epitomises the magical nature of the most North Westerly part of the British Isles.

Alexander Macleod and Simon Erlanger are the men behind the gin, and it was launched as a Gin of the week, in 2016.

Made in a small copper still, affectionately known as ‘The Dottach’ nine botanicals capture the elemental nature of this wild island.

Juniper, coriander, angelica, orris, cubeb berries, orange peel, liquorice and cassia bark all play their part, but it is locally harvested Sugar Kelp, which gives this gin its’ subtle coastal notes.

The Sugar Kelp is hand harvested, by a local Hebridean diver, from the deep underwater forests of the Outer Hebrides.

The bottle, in itself, is a work of art, delivering a soft aqua/green hue that again epitomises the heritage of this gin.

Divine with tonic and a pink grapefruit garnish.

This gin is truly magical!
