We were honoured to be the first bar in Manchester, to stock this local gin from Macclesfield.
Equally excited to have the owner, Karl Bond, deliver the gin to our bar, and it has been one of our best selling, ever, Gin of the week’s.
Like us, he and his wife, Lindsay, run a true family business! Indeed, the Bond’s make no secret about the fact that their daughter, Harriet, is really the ”Boss!”
She goes foraging for the locally grown bilberries and wild raspberries.
Everything is done by the Bonds’, and only 85 bottles are made in every batch.
Juniper berries, organic coriander, vanilla pods, liquorice root and angelica is sourced.
Bilberries, raspberries, blackberries, peak district moss and ferns, bark, pine and wild flowers are foraged.
Peak District Spring Water, is sourced from an ancient spring, 1200 feet above sea level.
The ingredients are ground by hand, in a pestle and mortar, before being distilled in their copper condenser.
Finally blended with the spring water to create the finest London Dry gin.
The bottle is just beautiful.
Locally sourced Staffordshire Pottery, from Wade Ceramics, is used to create the bottle, which recently became a little more angular.
Suzy Taylor, the respected Papercut artist, created the graphics, which include the Forest weasel!
Every bottle is then screen printed by hand.
Possibly our most sought after bottle, to keep, after use!
The perfect serve is with tonic and a mango garnish!
Team Atlas have a true affinity with Forest gin, and are sure that you will, too!
