Description

Atlas’ first Austrian Gin, and an award winner, at that.

J.A. Baczewski won Gold in the 2016 IWSC awards for a London Dry gin! Praise indeed.

It is triple distilled from a potato based spirit, and the botanicals include:

juniper, orange and lemon peel, coriander, anise, fennel and ginger.

The factory, where the gin is made, dates back to the late 18th century.

Based in Lwow, the Galician capital, which was then part of the Austrian Empire, the gins’ home is now technically in the Ukraine.

In its’ day, the company received the prestigious mark of Imperial Eagle and was also granted as a purveyor to the Imperial and Royal Court.

This is a versatile gin, but best enjoyed with tonic and a star anise garnish. We’d recommend either Fentimans or Syndrome, which complement the spiced notes of this gin.
