Van Wees Three Corners

Description

This is a truly dry gin made by A. Van Wees Distillery de Ooievaar. A top producer of traditional Dutch Genever, in Amsterdam.

They infact claim to be the last authentic distillery left in Amsterdam.

They are nestled in the Driehoekstraat, in the centre of the Jordaan.

They have worked in apothecary and distillation for generations.

The distillery was founded in 1782 and up until 1970, they delivered their products to bars and restaurants in casks!

Fenny van Wees, is the current owner.

An English influenced gin, this made using only two botanicals:

juniper and lemon.

It is certainly juniper forward, so enjoy with tonic and a lemon garnish, or branch out a little with a lemon tonic or premium Bitter lemon.
