A London Dry Gin with added complexity.
Mark D Hill, is the founder of this award winning gin, which was rated as ”Excellent” by Diffords Guide in 2014.
Citrus led, which is driven by lemon, orange and bergamot, there is a balance of woody spice and floral roots in the background.
This is a copper and tower distilled gin from wheat based spirit. This wheat comes only from the east of England.
The botanicals are macerated for eight hours, and are then transfered in to ”Angela,” Boxer’s 108 year old copper pot still.
What gives Boxer a point of difference, is that they seperately steam distill fresh juniper to extract the essential oils. This 20 hour process, is carried out, at source, in the Himalayas.
They also cold press fresh bergamot peel, to again extract the essential citrus oils.
Sussex spring water, is added to these oils, and distillation, which deliver a full flavoured 40% classic bottling gin.
We love Boxer with 1724 tonic and orange garnish!
